Why are the plants useful to us?
Plants and us Plants are our food, they improve our air and they are used to make many things that we need such as medicines, clothes and paper. Trees are cut down and the timber used to build houses and furniture. Plants are useful to us in many ways. We need oxygen in the air we breathe. Plants take in the carbon dioxide gas that we breathe out and turn it into oxygen. Plants keep the air we breathe stocked full of oxygen. Plants are food for us. They give the us the vitamins and minerals we need to grow and stay healthy. =) ~
What is an air plant?
Air plants actually do not need to be "planted". They originate from very moist climates and therefore can live without soil or any other substrate. To take care of an air plant you just need to water it 3 times a week by submerging it in water for an hour or two. If you would like to mount your air plant on something like a pretty piece of bark or rock you can use a thin piece of wire or string to gently attach the plant to the wood. Again, because air plants do not really have roots that need to be in soil they can survive by just sitting in a dish with pebbles, shells etc. and do not need to be planted.

In a sealed bottle (assuming the bottle is not a vacuum) there is air in the bottle, as the moisture builds up inside the bottle from the process of evaporation and condensation, water is formed, feeding the plants the water they need. Lastly, plants create oxygen through photosynthesis. This oxygen creation gives the plants the air they need and also puts more moisture in the air, creating more condensation and creates a continuous cycle of feeding the plant, allowing it to continue to thrive.
