There are numerous species of Pikas. They live in dry rocky desert mountains or the high open steppes. Most Pikas live in the small crevices created by the rocks. Others will dig burrows. These small burrows are about 60 feet deep, and the Pika will spend most of their life in their burrow. Pikas are also called the "Rock Rabbits, and the "Whistling Hare".
