The pads on your dog or cat's paws are there to protect the more delicate flesh. Pads are usually two different colors: black and pink. I'm pretty sure that a pink pad is more delicate than a black pad.

cats have padded paws to make it easyer to walk on hard serveces it is the same with dogs, it also gives them a stronger paw so if they were trying to kill a mouse or a shroo ect. and it bit the cats paw it would not hurt for as long as the paw is protected without the padding it would be very soar on the cat source of info: My Brain:) I hope this helps beckles123

they have padded feet so they can push through ice to hunt and also it can be hard on the feet/paws if the polar bear is walking for miles to find shelter, food or a mate
