Fossils are animal or plant remains or traces, in sediments. Igneous rocks form by cooling from a molten state deep underground.

I do have an amusing tale on that. A former work colleague was told by his mother, who worked for a memorial-masonry company, that the circles the masons sometimes found in cut granite were "fossil dinosaur poo" (coprolites)! More sadly, it seems the rings were regarded as reducing the stone's quality. They were of course sections across crystalline formations within the granite, and called "orbs".

No. In general, there are no fossils in igneous or metamorphic rocks, because the high heat and pressure involved would destroy any fossils. Fossils are almost always found in sedimentary rock.
