The nozzle directs the blast from the burning fuel into a propulsion cone that is the most efficient for the engines output.
Without a cone the flow of energy would be unpredictable and would not propel the rocket in the direction desired.
The rockets underneath the shuttle. The side rockets have solid fuel that essentially fuels a controlled explosion out of the nozzles.

Ejector nozzles are used in jet engines. They are the simpler of the nozzles used and are more conventional that iris nozzles. Ejector nozzles are part of a group that includes ejector, iris, rocket, and low-ratio nozzles.
There are two points of view: for cars or trucks. Diesel nozzles for trucks are bigger than gasoline nozzles for cars. On the other side, there are diesel nozzles for cars.... Between diesel nozzles for cars and gasoline nozzles for cars, the difference is the spout of the nozzle. For diesel it is 15/16" dia. And for gasoline it is 13/16" dia.
There are several types of nozzles used for applying pesticides and weedicides, including flat fan nozzles, hollow cone nozzles, and full cone nozzles. Flat fan nozzles create a wide, uniform spray pattern ideal for covering large areas, while hollow cone nozzles produce a fine mist suitable for thorough coverage of foliage. Full cone nozzles generate a solid spray pattern that is effective for targeted applications. Additionally, adjustable and air induction nozzles are available, designed to minimize drift and improve coverage.
Rockets do not have wings. However rockets need a means of stabilization and control, this can be done two ways:thruster controlsfins (this will only work while the rocket is in the atmosphere)With thruster controls the rocket engine thrust may be varied, the rocket engine nozzles may gimbal, or auxiliary thrusters may be used. What you are probably thinking of is the fins, which can be either fixed or movable. But they have no lift and are not wings and as stated above many rockets totally lack any fins.
1) convergent nozzle 2)divergent nozzle
Necessary nozzles for a pressure vessel typically include the inlet and outlet nozzles for fluid entry and exit, a vent nozzle for pressure release, and a drain nozzle for maintenance and cleaning. Additionally, safety relief nozzles are essential to prevent overpressure scenarios. Depending on the application, instrumentation nozzles may also be required for temperature and pressure monitoring. The design and placement of these nozzles must comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

YES!! propulsion is possible without nozzles contributing in weight reduction and cost reduction. It is only possible when the mass burning rate of fuel/propellant in the duct is increased to that extent to reach the sonic speeds. more likely to be used in missiles and rockets.
