because they proubly found it's bones
it was the Cynognathus. Cynognathus is an extinct mammal-like reptile. The name literally means 'dog jaw'. Cynognathus was as large as a modern wolf and lived during the early to mid Triassic period (250 to 240 million years ago). It is found as fossils only in South Africa and South America.
i guess it coukl have as many as 10 pups, but that's just a guess. I'm guessing from the amount that dogs have, because cynognathus is related to dogs
south America south Africa and Antarctica
Yes, the environment where the Cynognathus fossil was found has changed over time. Cynognathus fossils have been found in rock formations that were once part of ancient floodplains and river systems, indicating a different environment from what exists today. The shifting of tectonic plates and changes in climate have altered the landscape where these fossils are now found.
Cynognathus, a therapsid from the Triassic period, was primarily terrestrial and adapted to a land-based lifestyle. Its body structure, including a robust skeleton and limbs positioned beneath its body, was better suited for walking than swimming. Additionally, its heavy build and relatively short limbs would have made it difficult for Cynognathus to navigate in water effectively, limiting its ability to swim.
it was found on two continents, including antarctica and south america.
south africas and others just look on goole it will tell you the other continets it lived on and also it lived in a hot dry climate
