It depends on location whether or not the skater will get in trouble. But majority of the time skateboarders get in trouble for stereotype or liability reasons. In most business owners' minds, skateboarders are going to vandalize their property or lead costumers away. Or they are afraid that a skateboarder might fall and break something, and then sue. There is always an exception to every rule, or a jerk in the situation, but majority of the time skateboarders are fun loving people that just want to go out and have fun. Not terrorize pedestrians or vandalize.
