The Canopy of leaves is so dense, that there's very little sunlight that reach the forest floor. And w/o sunlight, there's not much plant life.

∙ 8y agoThe floor of the rainforest is a pretty dark place. There are several layers of plant leaves between the floor and the sky, and they put the floor of the rainforest in very dark shade.
