  • Jewish answer
We cannot and do not believe that Jesus is god or the son of God.. Such a belief is forbidden in Judaism. In Judaism, Jesus was a regular human being who lived in olden times, and is not part of Jewish religious belief.

Jews do NOT believe that Jesus is the Son of God, so asking how can they believe in something that they reject is not going to get a useful answer. As for Messianic Jews, they are a sect of Protestant Christianity, not Judaism, which is why they believe in all of the tenets of Christianity (including the claim that Jesus is the Son of God).

The "Jews" who believe in Jesus are Messianic Jews, which is a form of Protestant Christianity which seeks to incorporate Jewish traditions onto a Christian belief substrate. As a result, they believe in Jesus because they are Christians, not Jews.

They do not. Christians believe in a triune God whereas Jews believe in a truly singular God. Belief in One singular God is the founding principal and central pillar of Judaism.
