Why do some many people use the gernade launcher attachment on their gun in mw2?

most of the maps on Call of Duty mw2 are small and people feel they have a better chance in getting kill and killstreaks if they use the attachment. but the best weapon class to use when you are on team deathmatch is the mini uzi with rapid fire , stricker with red dot. have ur kill streak rewards set on pave low, chopper gunner and tact nuke. u should get 24 to 25 kills every time..
