The Irish flag or tri-colour consists of green, white and orange. Whilst most people wear green, it is just as acceptable to wear white or orange.
Wear a TON of green :)

It's orange! (when oranges were first grown, people did not know what to call them. some people called the "the orange/an orange" ex. "want to have an orange?" because it was so orange, and since nobody could think of a better name, it stuck!)

You may wear any color you wish on St. Patrick's but the customary color would be green. There are still some people who believe that to wear yellow or orange (particularity the latter) on St. Patrick's Day is an insult to all Irish people, but that view is dying out with each succeeding generation. It had to do with William of Orange being though of as a villain by all Irish people.

Saint Patrick was born in Bannavem Taberniae in Britain, although the exact location of this place is under specualtion. Some scholars ascribe this birthplace to Cumberland, others to Carlisle, a few to the Severn and others even to the Island of Anglesey.
Orange and yellow are very similar. Some people like both but some only like one and some dont like any of them. Those colors are very very similar. I personally like yellow better than orange but orange is still a good color.
