Because you have to turn it in sometime and it is the teachers responsibility to inform students when items are due.
Because they like it when the students get confused
It would obviously depend on the teacher and subject, as well as the level of learning. For the most part a teachers aide will take attendance, set up activities and grade homework. For some teachers the aide just sits there and has time to do their homework. The best solution is to ask the teacher for what would be expected.
Homework is good for all, but it is helpful if you have parents that are interested in assisting when needed. Not all work the Teachers plan in a day can be set out in a classroom as there are not enough hours in a day. If you wish to do well when you leave school then completing all the work set out for you by your Teacher will help you on your way.
The use of computers in education has increased enormously in recent times - teachers use them to set homework, plan lessons, take the Register, show presentations, and play videos. Students use their computers to do homework and look up information, as well as communicate with teachers and ask them questions.
It is because they want you to have the great knollege and skills and be a bright young student and as you pass it down to the next generation they will never forget about it!
Most teachers are pretty close to the right amount of time - they've done the work and they know how long it should take you to do it. There's no set time for each page of homework, so there's not one answer for this question. Their goal is to give you enough practice so that you understand the material better.
You can have no homework if your teacher does not set you any. Not hard, its very simple...
just think if the teachers are good at what they do then they shouldn't need to set out of school work (homework) 1- Stress 2- Sleep deprivation 3- Boredom 4- Depression 5- Punishments for not doing it 6- Social activities taken out 7- Parents can get something to punish you for 8- Teaches obedience 9- People hate the thought of going home and doing work The part about stress and sleep deprivation can lead to even more problems. Stress- Trouble sleeping, diseases triggered, bad chemicals, etc. Sleep deprivation- Brain not functioning properly, become more unattractive, getting really tired and falling asleep automatically, etc. Homework can be worse. Be aware of that. Just live with it for now. I'm in the process of trying to ban homework forever.
There is no such law that teachers have to give a certain amount of homework each night. It all depends on the teacher and how they teach. Some teachers do not give as much homework as other teachers while some pile kids with work on a daily basis. There should never be a law about how much homework a teacher should give every night. There are some schools where a principal will set a policy on how much homework a teacher may give or must give. There are even some school districts that have attempted to regulate the amount of homework assigned to students. Usually, however, it is left up to the teacher's discretion.
In Mexico and Spain they do get homework, but it about the same as the United States.

It depends on how much they set. There should be at least three hours of homework per week per subject - any more than that and you are receiving too much. However, if the amount of homework is decreased too much, it defeats to point in setting it. Homework is set to not only test your understanding of a subject without teacher aid, but also to get you to work on your own. This means that, if homework was indeed decreased, there would be less chance for you to work on your own and, therefore, you would lack the practice when you get onto further or higher education.
