Teens have abortions without parental consent because of mainly on thing...being scared. Think about it, how many things would you set yourself up for if you had to tell your parents you were pregant. The right thing to do is to TELL YOUR PARENTS, but some girls don't feel that they parents will think differently of them. And they are right they will, but they will be there for them even after all the fights. Girls are scared. If you think you are pregnent as a teen or if you think your teen is preganent talk. Just talk. Think of the possibilities that could happen if you don't. But whatever you do PLEASE, do not make a innocent baby pay for your mistake or the mistake of your child. DONT HAVE AN ABORTION

Yes, teens in Alaska have the explicit right to get birth control without parental consent. You can see your pediatrician, women's health care provider, or local family planning agency to access these services. The family planning agency will likely know about opportunities for you to get free or low-cost services as well.
Teens still need parental consent, from 16 to 18. You must have both sets of parents accompany you, sigh the approval affidavit and you must bring your birth certificate. If either party is under the age of 16, a waver must be issued from Juvenile Court. Your friend, along with the boyfriend and his parents needs to see a lawyer.

Other situations - Pregnant Teens: Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland and Oklahoma allow pregnant teens or teens who have already had a child to get married without parental consent.
No, you cannot move out without parental permission. The key here is the age of majority (adulthood) in the state you live in, which is normally 18, but could be older. If they are an adult, the parents are no longer responsible.
Depends on what teens we are talking about. There's a big difference between being 13 and 16. Here where I am you can get one without telling your parents at 15 and that works. Tests show that at 15 you are more of an adult then a child and it is your body and not your parents. We can turn it around and say the parents decide and can force you to have an abortion. That is just as bad as having them not allowing you to have one which is always the risk. In the older teen years you are old enough to make that decision.
