La Tomatina, which is held annually in the Spanish town of Buñol traces its origin back to brawl in 1945. This was initiated by young men who were excluded from a parade in the town. They picked up tomatoes from a nearby stall to use as weapons and it was so much fun that they met again with tomatoes brought from home one year later. After several such meetings, the party of La Tomatina was born in the 1950s.
