The bones in our and other animals bodies fit simply to enable the most movement. If creatures evolved to have bones the didn't fit, we would not be able to move easily! :P
Our bones however do not fit together like glue. they are connected by cartilage. Cartilage is a strong, flexible part of out bodies that keeps the bones together yet allows movement. Have you ever had chicken and found that hard stuff you can't chew? That's cartilage!
Cartilage is also between the ribs and also on your ears and nose.
long bones
At the end of bones, you have cartilage separating bones from other bones. You have tendons attaching them to other bones or muscles.
