To make it a fun holiday for kids or so the kids can go to bed so that the parents can sneak the presents under the tree. (That's what my mom did so she could)
Answer
It is a sweet tradition.
What you decide to talk to kids about as Santa can vary depending on what you want your children to believe. While there is no harm in allowing them to believe in Santa Claus, you can also tell them the story of Saint Nicholas and how he was a real man and would make toys for the poor and that is where Santa come from.

yes i think if you believe in him he is real only or you and the other kids .....but if you dont believe in santa he wont be real for you and other kids who dont.
Kids can't see Santa Clause because he is magical and doesn't want kids to see him. If kids could see him than he might stop giving to the good boys and girls. So what ever you do don't question Santa Clause!
no, except for little kids
Santa will always be every where on Christmas eve and i am sure all the little kids could get there presents. only little kids because i don't believe in Santa! but, this is just a common i mean some people really believe in Santa and i respect that.
Santa Clause is real only if you believe but if you dont believe he is not real so all you kids asking your moms and dads if santa is real ask you self that not you parents you the one with the answer
If they don't believe it... they just don't believe. It's not your fault but if you really want them to then when you are putting presents under the tree put a guy in a santa suit... most likely they'll get up but if not make a loud noise so they will be curious.
