Generally speaking, they don't. Most tornadoes last less than 5 minutes. In simple terms, most tornadoes form as a result of complex interactions within a kind of thunderstorm called a supercell. According to Thomas P. Grazulis, a leading expert on tornadoes, here are multiple stages in the process that leads up to, produces, and dissipates tornadoes that often occur in a cyclic fashion. In the few tornadowa that are long-lived, the parent storm enters the tornado-producing stages as a "steady state" rather than as a simple part of a cycle, thus sustaining the tornado.
Based on storm chaser roger hill,s tornadoes 58 degrease is about the coolest tempture that a tornado could hit in. Though there has been other rumers that tornadoes have struck even when it was cooler. No one really know,s for sure. The NWS shows ground temps as low as 36; the air above the ground can be much more humid and warmer. So that will influence the formation more than the actual ground temp.
It is impossible to predict a tornado so far in advance. While there is a risk of tornadoes across northern and central Illinois, we will not know where specific tornadoes will occur until they occur. Given the risk, though you should stay alert not just for tornadoes, but for destructive thunderstorm wind, hail, and lightning. Stay indoors if at all possible.
Once a tornado is on the ground meteorologists look at where the tornado is and the direction it is traveling, which allows some prediction of its path. However scientists still do not fully understand how tornadoes change direction, so that cannot be predicted well aside from the tendency of strong tornadoes to make left turns.
Yes so long as you stay in it.
Yes. The region is so prone to tornadoes that it is sometimes called Tornado Alley.
Well, touching the Earth is the same as the ground, so both.
Anywhere from days to thousands of years
well you're supposed to crawl out of there not just lie there. Smoke travels up so if you stay on the ground you'll get the cleaner air and so not only will you see where you are going but you should stay alive long enough to get outta there
Since official records becan in 1950, there have been 35 rocorded tornadoes on Long Island. However, the actual number of tornadoes is likely considerably higher, as many of the smaller tornadoes were missed prior to the 1990s.
A period stay on for so long because of environmental changes.
Tornadoes don't stay around long, so the critical thing is to find an interior room (closet, bathroom) to stay in as it passes by. Many of the midwest farmers had a storm cellar to stay in. Water, snacks, medical supplies and medicines are good to keep with you.
well the twisting wind twisst so hard that it rips up the ground. Hope this helps
because the moon it so far away that gravity can not reach it so u wont be able to stay on the ground of the moon for very long
put him in the ground where he cant be found

I guess so, mainly because the cockatiels would be in the air all the time rarely ever on the ground where as chickens stay on the ground. as long as the pen has a lot of room they should be fine.
kids can stay outside for as long as they want so let them be kids
