Generally, because something is wrong with it. Maybe a bearing went out, maybe the compressor is just worn, maybe it was damaged because of a refrigerant overcharge, compressor oil overcharge, or the wrong type of compressor oil used. Could be a number of reasons.
You can, you just need to get a fan belt without ac, however not sure where u can find these.
the Clutch is not fully disengaged. compressor might need to be replaced. I would bring it to the shop. Look at the Compressor and if u notice shavings then it has done its duty. If you do not want the AC anymore and want a cheap fix. Just go to a AC shop and get them to remove the clutch. the Clutch is not fully disengaged. compressor might need to be replaced. pulley from same car with no air bolts in but u need to remove compressor
no, unless u have to remove the compressor unit. The clutch can be replaced with out removing the compressor if you have room to do it.
hi mate generally there shouldn't need maintenance on ac in ur jeep, im a ac engineer only time should u need to replace gas is when the system has been open or a leak , if u suffer major problems could be the compressor burnt out. harley
generally u dont replace clutch as it is more prudent to just get a used compressor from junk yard. you will need a pair of snap ring pliers. 1. remove nut on compressor shaft and remove clutch plate. 2. remove snap ring holding pulley on compressor. 3. use two screwdrivers on opposite sides of pulley to help slide off pulley.
It just cost me 760 to replace the whole compressor 300 for a rebuilt part and 300 for labour + I had to get a new belt I'm pretty sure u cAn just get the a/c clutch for half the price
No, Have a look at the way the belt is. You cant just get a shorter belt and bypass the AC compressor as the belt would foul on the tensioner. u need a AC bypass pulley and bracket, and so far, i can only find these genuine
u need to remove the other belt then u need to put the ac belt on behind the pulleys then move the tensioner and put on the ac belt u need to do this from under the truck u will need a 3/8 ratchet u need to remove the other belt then u need to put the ac belt on behind the pulleys then move the tensioner and put on the ac belt u need to do this from under the truck u will need a 3/8 ratchet
no u can remove belt if that is all that is driven by that belt. if other pulleys are driven by same belt, u need to use smaller belt and bypass a/c pulley
That would be rear strut over coil springs. u will need a coil spring compressor and some general hand tools. when u find a coil spring compressor email me at matts911.rr.com for more details. Matt
u need remove cylynderhead then camshaft then rockerarms then use a valve spring compressor then change your valve rubbers.
