Only two vampires that I know of lived in Castles. Count Dracula and Count Orlock. No other vampire that I know of lived in a castle. The two counts had their castles as part of their heritage.
And The Count from Sesame Street lives in one too! So that makes three!
In the book Vampire by Dunn-Mascetti, he claims that vampires live in castles to keep mystery about their character, and further isolate them from society.
Initially if you think about it, vampires were thought to live in castles in the middle of large untamed forests. These castles were extremely old and housed all sorts of creatures, spiders, bats, and such. And because the legends say Vampires are nocturnal, bats are as well. Also goes back to the Legend that Vampires can turn into bats.
Vampires are fictional beings and do not exist in reality. However, in literature and folklore, vampires are often portrayed as living in secluded or hidden places like castles, crypts, or dark forests.
vampires dont exist is just a myth
Only some vampires own castles, it might be for different reasons, like they are "vampire royalty" or they just plainly want to stay out of people's way.
Because vampires need to be in the dark so they use castles to store their blood and coffins!!!
