Because she accomplished many things, even though she could not see or hear. That is actually phenomenal. Imagine if you all of a sudden lost your vision and hearing, and had to live in a dark, silent world for the rest of your life. Would you still ride in a jet, travel the world, speak to people about different subjects, write books, go to schools with sighted, un-deaf people, or play sports? Would you be able to handle it?
