If you are a Christian, you need to know about Jesus's birth, because it is a d-day of sorts in history. God had been planning, ever since the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, a Savior who would be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. If you aren't a Christian, it was just another birth, very unsignificant, which lead to a widespread "cult" following.

∙ 13y agoFor Christians it would surely be important to understand the background of Jesus in any century, after all Jesus is the central focus of their worship. For others, there is no important reason to know much about Jesus.
