Taxes are collected to help provide services. You may not have children but there are other people paying taxes for things that they don't have through which you benefit. So it all works out the same overall.
I agree with the above...taxes are what we pay to be part of a civilized society..they aren't paid to benefit only the one paying them, or even to go for things that the one paying them agrees with.
But I would note I consider the questioners position one of the most valid in defeating those people who insist they should be given credits or money to send their children to schools they want. If that has any basis, then absolutely correct, anyone without children should get at least that same amount of credit and money back in property taxes too. And very simply, as it is, it is my tax money being used to educate their children, and provide other benefits for them, and I don't want it used to provide any education I disapprove of...which is most religious ones to start. You want your children educated that way...send them yourself. And yes, still contribute to society.
Because Biden and Newsom are greedy idiots.

Children only need to file a tax return if they are being payed a regular salary for a job, or if they have their own business. Depending on the legal setup of the business, you may have to pay taxes on the business's income as well as your personal income.

I haven't ever seen a school district that is allowed to tax people directly. The county tax assessor does this. You might want to check whether this is a scam or not.

First, you pay the tax on the real estate you own, which includes the unit that you own by yourself, and the remaining real estate assets -- the outside, the amenities and all the land in the community (usually) -- that you own in common with all other owners.
