Best Answer

It doesn't. Its simply because men cut they're hair short and we grow it out.

Both females and males have the same kind of hair, the hair on females is longer because they tend to let it grow without cutting it. Long hair is a matter of culture.

Does hair grow longer in length in the winter or summer?

I think its summer. As stated, the question is really in the realm of psychology or social psychology. Do people tend to let their hair grow longer during one season or another? My first guess would be that if we measured average hair length during different seasons it would be slightly longer in the winter.

Do dread locks grow fast?

It varies with ethnicity. People of African decent tend to take longer to grow hair, whereas those of European decent grow much faster. Dreadlocks for African-decent people grow faster than their natural, unlocked hair. For those not of African decent, a little more than your average growth.

Why do people say that your hair will grow faster once you get it trimmed when hair grows at the roots and not the tips?

your hair will not grow faster by keeping the ends trimmed. it will, however, seem to grow faster. unkempt ends tend to split easily. split ends turn dry and brittle, and consequently break off, shortening the length of the hair. while trimming your ends won't cause the hair to grow faster, it will keep your hair healthy and minimize risk of breakage, which in the long run means it gets longer faster.

What is hair cutting?

A layer hair cut is when your hair is cut in a style so that there are different lengths to the cut. The lengths tend to start around the ear and that would be the shortest length. Under than would be a longer length, and then a longer etc.

Why do black people's hair not grow?

Black people's hair does grow; some faster than others. It depends on the individual. To some it may seem as though black people's hair does not grow, but it does at an average of 1 inch a month (the same for all races). unfortunately some blacks tend to chemically alter their hair which causes breakage. so their hair does grow, but its hard to keep the length due to breakage, making it seem as if it does not grow.

Why does your hair not grow when you get split ends since your hair grows out of your scalp?

Your hair does continue to grow even with split ends. Trimming split ends just makes your hair look more even at the ends. The split ends tend to dry up and look ratty. Split ends do not prevent hair from growing.

Does Prenatal Vitamins Make Your Hair Grow Fater?

No, but pregnancy can make your hair seem thicker, because while pregnant, you tend not to lose as many hairs as you would otherwise.
