If you're talking about American society, what you may be seeing is women who continue to wear their engagement ring as well as a wedding band. ∙ 11y agoI wear two bands on the same ring finger. I lost my original and replaced it. I found the original months later. Now I put the original on first, then the replacement next. I have heard that some women bought an el cheapo when engaged, and a better later on and the man wore them on each hand for sentimental reasons. Then there is the polygamy thing, but I won't go there.
