You should ask questions because questions usually lead to answers. Questions provide information and knowledge.

Questions also create social relationships: "How are you?" "What did you do last night?" "What did you think of that movie?" Asking people questions about themselves shows interest.

Well, we ask things in order to find out what we already know and if it is right or wrong. We always want to expand on what we already know and of course we don't want to learn new things at all.
