Why do you feel a round tightness in your lower abdomen while standing but you do not feel it when you are laying down and you are a little chubby so you really have to feel for it?

it is probably a muscle. Holds stuff together when standing, relaxes when lying down. But if its a lump go see a doctor. It's sounds like you may have a hernia. Please see your doctor.
