We feel colder in space although we are reaching closer to the Sun because there is no air and no dust particles present in the space. So there is nothing to absorb the heat from the Sun and radiation process can't take place.

Why do you feel colder in space although you are reaching closer to the Sun?

In space, there is no atmosphere to trap heat, so there is no medium to transfer heat to your body. Since heat is not being transferred from the Sun to you, you feel colder despite being closer to it. This is why astronauts wear special suits to maintain their body temperature in the vacuum of space.

Why should you check your tire pressure in the winter?

Because as air gets colder its molecules form closer together and the air takes up less space which lowers your tires PSI (Pounds per Square Inch).

Does the evaporator have to be colder than the refrigerated space to absorb heat?

Yes, the evaporator must be colder than the refrigerated space in order to absorb heat from that space. The refrigerant in the evaporator absorbs heat as it evaporates, allowing it to transfer heat from the refrigerated space to the condenser.

Would it be colder or warmer on an asteroid or Earth?

it would be colder on an asteroid than it is on earth because asteroids are in space and space is so cold that if you were in space without a astronaut suit you would freeze to death immediately but if the asteroid were moving (a shooting star) it would be flaming and would be warmer than earth depending on what part of earth you are talking about (for example the is a large temperature distinction between the Sahara desert and antartica ) hope this helps and good luck with your future studies of earth and space.

Is 36000 feet in the air closer to ground level or space?

It is much closer to the ground.

If the north and south poles attract on magnets then why do they repel on earth and why does heat rise if the further north you go the colder it gets and the further south you go the warmer it gets?

Although heat does rise, in space there is no concept of "up" or "down", and therefore no "north" and "south", only the concept of "around". Humans invented these concepts for our own understanding. The reason it is hotter in the southern hemisphere is because this hemisphere is closer to the Sun.

Why do telescope in space get a more complete picture of space objects?

What happens to the temperature as you go towards outer space?

What evidence is there that galaxies are moving away from Earth?

each day in space, galaxies are moving at about 170 miles per second. The galaxy nearest us is about 2.6 million lightyears away. But also, space is expanding each day, meaning everything is getting further away from eachother, so in some meaning, the galaxy nearest us is moving away( due to space exspanding ) but it is also moving closer, at the same time. so itd be moving away from us more than getting closer. if that helps at all :p

Why is it colder at the mountain even though you are closer to the sun?

Temperatures are cooler in an environment where the air is thinner. A heavier atmosphere at lower altitudes acts like a green house and maintains a warmer climate. If you were floating in space above the earth's atmosphere, you're closer to the sun than the earth, yet you will freeze to death in the vacuum of space.
