It is anatomically impossible for 'wind' (air) to enter the shoulder or back. However, if you have Gallbladder inflammation or sluggish gallbladder, it can cause pain (that FEELS like gas) in your shoulder and back, especially near the scapula. The pain can feel like it goes straight through from upper belly to upper back. At the same time, you can have nausea, gassy belly, and flatulence (passing gas). Medical personnel used to say women and in particular women over 40 years old who are overweight get gallbladder disease more than guys (the 3 F's - "female, fat, and 40" they used to say). However, now, even people in their 20s can have GB disease. Watch fatty foods and talk to your doctor.
