Why do you have to take cortisone steroid tabs four at a time after breakfast instead of singly during the day?

My doctor told me I could do 2 at breakfast and 2 at lunch.He did however say that it may be easier to just take all at breakfast so you don't have to worry about taking later,but the main reason he told me is steroids keep you up therefore if taken later in day you may have trouble falling asleep.
