No one has to wear makeup, The choice in yours. You can choose to, or you can choose not to.
Are you a performer? If you're a singer, actor, or other performer, you need makeup to keep from looking dead on stage.Performers: today's society is obstinant with faux perfection. If you want to change that reality like I have (to the Horror of my directors, they can not stand naturality). I applaud your guts and intelligence. Do it!
Skin problem? Fix it. The more natural, the best. I am an 18 year old in the same predicament.
I have been addressing my skin problems and staying away from all cosmetics. I have absolutely nothing on or near my face, and my skin is healthy and healthy looking.
Why cover a problem up when you can fix it and say you are wearing no makeup and not lie? You deserve the best. That is truly beautiful and healthy skin. This is possible for YOU and every other person on this planet. The only problem is how to fix the skin problems in the most effective and practical (cheap, fast, easy) way possible.

Stage requires heavier makeup as well as TV (due to the stage lights), where as film can be lighter. Although this does not cover the dramatic or face altering character makeup.
When performing on a stage you need to wear a lot of makeup because the lights wash your face out. It is used to enhance your features on stage.
For everyday class you do not have to, unless you wear it normally everyday. For performances and even dress and tech rehearsals (depending on your teacher/ director) you have to wear stage makeup.
Yes Peter Furler does wear eyeliner on stage only.
Noramlly its to make them look flawless. They don't want your imperfections to show on camera or on the stage. Actors also wear stage makeup because from the audience their faces can look washed out, especially under bright lights. The makeup is then used to make certain features such as lips and eyes stand out so from the audience, they look like a normal person. Stage makeup can also be used to transform a person into something else, such as an animal, an old person, etc.

Rather than wearing stage makeup, the actors wore larger-than-lifesize masks painted to resemble human faces.
Stage make-up is always over exaggerated and bold so it can be seen when one is preforming on stage and normal make-up like you would use everyday, a little bit of foundation, eyeliner and mascara. But you use the same make-up to do both, stage make-up it is just a lot of make-up.
"Stage" makeup.
not usually but on stage he does because if he doesn't he will look dead. I'm not kidding either. I'm a dancer and i know about the stage. you look really pale and dead-like if you don't wear makeup. Yes, he does. I just looked at more photos of Nick Jonas than I ever thought possible...in them, he's wearing concealer, foundation, powder, light-brown eyeliner, blush and nude lipstick. This is just basic stage makeup for a man, and he has to wear it or he'd look terrible up there.
Yes male or female all actors are required to wear make up on stage. Most actors in a film have makeup that strip away there identity to let them be someone else, I.e the character they play.
