Why do you import and export?

There are three main reasons to import:

1. Cheaper price abroad.

2. Unique product or quality that can't be found in US.

3. Faster or more efficient delivery or manufacturing process.

There are similar reasons for export:

1. Customer gets cheaper product.

2. Technology or other unique aspect to the product here.

3. Faster delivery.

This is why the rates of exchange for currencies is so important. If dollar goes down against the foreign currency, exports go up and vice versa.
