It could be a lack of regular defragmentations, spy-ware and virus checks. If you have not done this on your computer on a couple of months this could be the problem.
It could also be virus related as in something new. Post on my board for more info. If you have an old operating system older than Windows 2000, that is another cause.
There can be many reasons why but one reason is auto update. i hate those. it will say that it will automatically restart your computer in lets just say 14 minutes. when those 14 minutes are up it restarts. other reasons: if you have a laptop mostly gateway does it. but the fan either stops working or doesnt work well enough to cool you computer it will shut it down before damages are done. quick fix: Go to a computer store and buy a laptop cooler they dont cost much and it should fix your problems
