i dont know why we do this but through much research i have discovered that it has something to do with awesomeness levels, if you have low awesomenedd then you dont laugh when your hurt you cry. If you do have low awesomeness i would recomendbuying a leather vest, growing a goatee and staring at small people on the subway. This will give you the feeling of awesomeness. However if you are awesome then you will laugh at any pain, if your really awesome then you will laugh after being hit by a bus and get up and ask kindly if you can have another go? It is an unconscious response that could be caused by a couple of things: A) Your mind realizes the situation is awkward, and is trying to lighten the mood. Or, B) You actually are intending to cry, but, for whatever reason (perhaps you get embarrassed when you cry, or you feel the timing is not appropriate) your mind is disallowing you from crying. The stress needs to be released somehow, however, so your mind's "Plan B" is uncontrollable laughter; the harder you laugh, the more you feel like crying. Those aren't the only reasons, but they are the main ones.
