According to Jesus Christ, those who realize they are sinners, repent of their sins, and receive Him as Savior and Lord are "born again" (John 3:3) not physically, but spiritually. Jesus says "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life" (John 5:24).
