Simply because the ozone layer is very thin there (and possibly absent altogether). Sunscreen blocks harmful Ultra-Violet rays from the sun.
you dont need
A lot of sunscreen
Antarctica is the coldestAntarctica
You will need to find a sunscreen which has effective broad-spectrum protection. A sunscreen that has a SPF 30 blocks 97 percent of the ultra-violet sun rays. You need to remember to apply it several times when you are out in the sun, not just once. You will still tan, but at a slower, safer rate by generously applying the sunscreen so often.
Sunscreen is recommended anywhere, anytime in the world, but in winter, even in Australia it is not so necessary
because
There is no need for dogs in Antarctica, and in fact, dogs are now banned from the continent.
Why do you need to put on sunscreen at the beach in your answer note what other related precautions you should take when you are at the beach.
You need answers! If we don't need answers, then how can you get your problem solve!
Every person is different, so it means that not all people need sunscreen 24/7 and sometimes not at all, I would suggest using it on really sunny days + swimming trips and of course on beach trips! If your skin is very sensitive to any light, I would use it regularly. If you think using it regularly could damage your sensitive skin, buy baby sunscreen or specially designed formulas, i prefer bay sunscreen, it is just as powerful if not more and very gentle to skin.
A camera is useful to take photos of Antarctica.
so you dont burn and so you are not at risk of skin cancer
