You want the car to start in gear? Are you nuts?
You need the right gear to ride a motor bike. First gear is needed to move the car from a standing start Lets spend a day our with the fishing gear We need the right gear to bring about a satisfactory result
Most likely you need to change your motor mounts...
No, the gears are stamped as part of the regulator arms. If the gears are bad the regulator unit would need replaced. More likely a problem with the gear on the motor. I've never seen the motor gear offered separately. Motor would have to be replaced.

the humming noise you are hearing is the gear inside of the headlight motor. there is a worm the motor turns, you chipped a tooth off of the motor. it won't read that the headlight is down, so it continues to turn until the override shuts it off. its a factory defect. Pontiac used a nylon motor to turn a metal worm. over time the worm wears the gear out. you have three options to fix it. one, replace the motor. two, take the motor out, take it apart rotate the gear inside the motor (only half the gear makes contact with the worm) so the other half of the gear is now used. it should be good for about another year after that. three, take out the motor break it apart and replace the nylon gear with a metal gear. if you take the motor apart, you need to epoxy it back together, the motor is not designed to be worked on. a new gear should cost about 50 dollars. a new motor should cost about 250. but it will have the same nylon gear in it. good luck.
You need to turn the motor so the first piston is at top of the cylinder to remove the distributor.
First you need to take a hunter safety class. You will also need a hunting licences. Then you need to get your gear and you are ready to go.
If the motor is okay, you needn't replace the entire motor. You only need to get the gear kit. I just learned this and it was very easy. You must remove the motor after removing your interior door panel. Some of the screws that hold the motor in are difficult to get to, however, and you may need to exercise some patience here. Better yet, if you have a hole saw, you can make a hole over where you need to access one or two of the existing screws holding the motor in place. Once you have the motor out, you only need to take the gear cover off, remove the old one (mine were pretty much wasted from heat, age, etc. Next, clean out all the old particles of the old nylon gear and replace it with the new one and put in new grease. (supplied with new gear kit) New gear kits are around 30 bucks and the entire motor is more than double that, so this is a good fix!
jag seat same problemI have a broken plastic gear in my seat motor also.. seems silly to buy an entire motor for 170 dollars when a ten cent gear is all i need. where do you get these things..??Have just stripped my 1991 Jeep Cherokee seat motor assembly, because it has the same problem. There are 3 motors connected by flexible drive shafts into a sealed gearbox. In order to open the gear box you need to drill out all the rivets holding it together. The middle motor drives the forward/back rack assembly. The other two do the front and rear lift levers. In my gear box, the middle motor drives some worm and gear links to toothed racks on each side of the frame. The worm gears are metal and the connecting drive gears are plastic. The plastic drive gear linked to the motor worm gear has lost a number of teeth. I doubt if anyone will supply a replacement gear.I am investigating the possibility of having one made by a local engineering company. If anyone knows of a ready made gear supplier please post their name and phone number.
Because if you have an injury when hiking (in the wilderness) you will need First Aid stuff to treat it and unless you have brought it with you, it will not be there.
The window regulator is gear-driven. The arm that raises and lowers the window has a long curved rack, driven by a gear on the motor. Most likely, if you can hear the motor running, then the gear on the motor is broken, or the gears are stripped. I've had both problems. You'll need to pull the window regulator to disassemble and pull motor to find out for sure which one it is. Either way, it sounds like you'll be changing the motor.
