Movies almost never contain everthing from the book. Details in the movies are frequently changed. For example, the novel "Tarzan" by Edgar Rice Burroughs is much better than any Tarzan film ever made. In the book, Tarzan teaches himself how to read English. But the first person he meets is French. So he speaks French and reads English. This isn't in any of the movies.
Many people who've watched the movies and read the books.

It ultimately depends on personal preference. Some people may prefer the visual and auditory experience of movies, while others may enjoy the depth and detail that books provide. Both offer unique storytelling advantages.

I believe it is the movies and books we've seen and read.
If you haven't read the books or seen the movies, the best thing to do is to read the books first, then you will know when there are scary parts. Personally I don't find them frightfull, they say the genre is horror, but it's more a romance.
