You don't need to reuse slides, but sometimes it can be useful. If you are designing a slide that is very similar to another, you could make a copy of it and then make a few small changes to the new one.
If building a Custom show, you could have it return repeatedly to the same slide, which might be handy if it was a heading slide that needs to be shown lots of times. So instead of having lots of copies of the exact same slide, you could have the show reuse the original.
You may set up a menu slide and have the facility to return to it. This can be done by having buttons on other slides to come back to it, or by going to the previous slide while running the show.
