Holidays in general are excuses to do things. Oh, it's my birthday so I can eat 10,000 calories of cake. Oh it's Halloween so we can trick or treat and get free candy in return for looking cute to the old people. Oh it's Easter so it's okay to buy your kid 2 tons of candy.
