People show patriotism by putting up lots of flags, they show their pride of being an american, they respect our falg, vote, stand and/or remover hats during the Peldge of Allegiance, they know the national anthem, knows the laws of our country, and they SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.

∙ 13y agoWhat is Patriotism? Why do we celebrate it? Does it still matter? Of course patriotism still matters. Patriotism is the love and devotion of the country and willingness to sacrifice for it. People who have patriotism respect their country. Many people are true patriots, as others don't care what happens to their country. We celebrate it to remember the brave soldiers that showed patriotism in the wars. Many loved ones were lost and wounded. We gather on July 4th to remember the soldiers that fought and showed patriotism for our independence. These brave men and women deserve to be remembered and honored. If America lost patriotism, we would fail. Patriotism is like the Bill of Rights. We need it.

∙ 11y agoYes. To love ones country is important, but there can be an overuse of patriotism to the point it is bad. The perfect example of this is when it is transferred from the overall nation to one man. This happened in Germany in the 1930's, in China, and can be seen today in North Korea.
I show patriotism because I believe in supporting and promoting the well-being of my country, its people, and its values. I take pride in my country's accomplishments and contributions to the world.
