I think it depend on if the voices are our own or not. If they are our own, then we are just replaying thoughts or replying to things that are playing on your minds due to stress.
Hypnopompic hallucinations are not alltogether unusual, and can occur outwith "illness", but you should go and see your doctor to get it checked out.

Try and go through the settings. Sometimes you will find that the voice is on TV mode, I believe you need to change this to headset. If that does not work, send them back and get a replacement.
