This is one way that you can tell if the egg is raw or hard-boiled. A hard-boiled egg has solid interior of fairly consistent density so it will just spin. But a raw egg has the semi-solid yolk material which floats around in the fluid. When you spin the raw egg, the yolk will move to try to get to the outside of the circle, like if you were to spin a yo-yo around at the end of its string.

Since one end is now heavier than the other, the egg will wobble and cannot maintain the spin, and soon comes to a halt.

So if you are packing a picnic basket or lunchbox, you do not want to put a raw egg in, or you will be in for a surprise when you go to peel off the shell.

How is inertia responsible for removing water from wet clothes in a washing machine?

In a spin cycle, water can continue to move under acceleration but the clothes cannot. When the washer enters the "spin and rinse" cycle, the clothes basket rapidly rotates, and the wet clothes are pushed against the perforated wall of the basket. The clothes are trying to move with the basket, but are affected by the outward component of their velocity (centrifugal acceleration). The water in the clothes is also subject to an outward force, but some of it can move through the clothes, and out through the holes in the basket. Rinse water sprayed on the inside will also move outward through the clothes to remove most of the remaining detergent.

Is spin a noun?

Spin is a verb. Spin is also a noun. Noun: The aircraft went into a spin then hit the ground. Verb: Give the washing a quick spin then hang it it outside. Noun: He asked if he could take the car for a spin. Verb: Step right up, spin the wheel, win some cash!

Why 2 electrons in an orbital spin?

one is spin up one is spin down, there are no other possibilities.

What is spin injection?

Spin injection refers to the process of introducing a spin-polarized current or spin-polarized carriers (electrons or holes) into a material. This is often associated with spintronics, a field that explores the role of electron spin in addition to its fundamental electronic charge, aiming to develop new technologies for information processing and storage. Spin injection is crucial for manipulating and utilizing the spin properties of electrons in various devices such as spin transistors and spin valves.

Do you need two holes in the bottles to make a tornado in a bottle?

to make a tornado in a bottle you can 1. spin a single bottle full of liquid or 2. spin 2 two liter bottles atttatched to each other at the mouth with duct tape. No lids

How do you do a 360 degree dunk in basketball?

You have to dribble toward the basket, facing the basket at first, then do one full spin (360 degrees is one full spin), face the basket again, and then dunk.

What is it called when earth spins each complete spin?

Each spin of the earth is called a rotation of the earth on it's axis.

What is Putting spin on a ball field hockey?

Any spin in field hockey is a fluke. There is almost no way to reliably create spin on the ball; the few methods available don't work to any substantial degree.

Why does my washer get to the spin cycle but doesn't spin?

If it agitates but doesn't spin, there is a problem with the transmission that connects the motor to the basket, or a problem with the controls that prevents engaging the transmission. This is different for the various models and makes of washers.*It is extremely hazardous for non-qualified individuals to work with these transmissions because of the potential for severe injury.

A quantum state with zero spin?

The theoretical Higgs boson would have zero spin. The neutral and charged pions also have zero spin. Two entangled particles, each with spin opposite to each other, would be a quantum state with zero net spin. Atoms may also have zero spin, if they are in what is known as S-states (e.g. the ground state of hydrogen).

What is a quantam state with zero spin?

A quantum state with zero spin is a state where the angular momentum of the system is zero. This means that the system has no intrinsic angular momentum or spin. In other words, it has a spin quantum number of 0.

Is there any connection between the wave length and spin of a photon?

No, the spin of different particles is a constant in each case; for example the spin of a photon is always 1.

What is a bt apex barrel what does it for paintballing?

The Apex barrel is BT's upgrade to the Tippman Flatline barrel. It allows the shooter to "curve" the ball around or "dive bomb" over the top of bunkers by putting a spin on the ball. It also will allow the shooter to get extra distance out of a shot by putting a back spin on the ball. How the it works is the tip of the barrel has a ridge that gives the ball a spin like a curve ball or a spin on a ping pong ball. You can get the same effect by turning a Flatline on the side.
