Well it is scientifically proven that once you have been with someone long enough, your mind is just used to thinking about that person. You have obviously spent alot of time with your girlfriend and have loved her quite a bit, therefore are just used to thinking about her. Once your mind realises that she is no longer around, it will ease out of thinking about her, but for the time being, don't worry. It's just a stage! You will get over her!
