Lucy began to wonder whether Narnia had been a dream because when she tried to show her siblings the entrance to Narnia, it had disappeared, making her doubt her own experience. The idea that she may have just imagined it all was unsettling for her.

∙ 11y agoBecause it was a totally unbelievable story. I wouldn't believe a person who told me she had just visited a fantasy-land hiding in the back of a wardrobe! The children did not believe in magic at that time, so why should they believe a story like that?
Lucy claimed to have been away for several hours, yet her siblings knew it was only seconds since they had seen her. They thought this proved she was making it up - it wasn't even a clever lie. Later the professor explained that this was actually evidence in favour of her story being true. He said that another world, only accessible by magic, would probably have its own timeline that did not intersect with earth-time, so hours in the other place would be no time at all on earth. However, a girl as young as Lucy would not think of this for herself.

How do you know this life that you live in is not just a dream?
It is true that sometimes when you are havine a dream you don't know that it is a dream. When you are having a dream you never wonder whether or not it is a dream. You only wonder that when you are awake. So by the fact that you are wondering that I would say that you are awake and this is not a dream. PS Unless I am just dreaming this.
