Why do you think Obama won the reelection?

Mitt Romney didn't appear to care for the 47% who pay no taxes. President Obama does care for this minority and wants to tax the rich to help them. Also Candy Crowley pointed out in a debate that President Obama had correctly called the Benghazi attack a terrorist attack. Romney received very little of the Black vote and President Obama had and has the complete backing of all African Americans.

Among the reasons why President Obama was re-elected were these: (1) Mitt Romney ran a very poor campaign. He was not an inspiring speaker, nor did he ever win over the Republican base, who never really trusted him. And above all, he never was able to shake the perception that he was a super-rich plutocrat who only cared about the wealthy. (2) President Obama ran a much more effective campaign, using social media, getting the Democratic base out, and delivering speeches that made people feel like he understood them. (3) Democrats were able to motivate female voters to support the president, thanks in large part to flawed Republican candidates who made harsh comments about social issues that alienated moderates, including moderate Republicans. (4) Similarly, Democrats were able to use the perception of Mr. Romney as an out-of-touch rich guy against him, to bring minority (black and Hispanic) voters to the President's side. (5) Despite how polarized the country was, many Americans felt the economy was improving, Osama bin Laden had been killed, the auto industry was coming back, and President Obama had kept his promise about bringing most of the troops home from Iraq. Thus, there were enough positive signs that made voters believe the president deserved to be re-elected. Mr. Romney never presented a compelling reason for electing him, beyond the fact that he wasn't Barack Obama. That was not enough for most voters.
