I think that a lot of it has to do with gender stereotypes. Gender stereotypes are simplistic generalizations about the gender attributes, roles or differences. There have been many studies on this topic. Men are perceived as being more competent and stronger leaders, regardless of whether or not they are. And taller men are perceived as being smarter and more competent than shorter men. Also, certain professions have a boys' club mentality surrounding them. For example, women are often intimidated by the thought of taking computer science classes where they will be the only female in the class.
do you think it is deviant for our government to have such inequality?
I think it is a myth in India. If slight thing happens between Hindu and Muslim then there will be blast in India. Even there is inequality of Gender in jobs and many more places. It is a very sad thing...
Some people think that because you are a Male or Female, you get paid more or less, companies and businesses are trying to promote gender equality. The main thing that affects the income of a gender is what qualifications they have. if they have been to university, and have a degree, then their income would be considerably higher than someone who has just come out of college with a Level 2 Qualification.
One consequence is the reinforcement of gender roles and stereotypes through language use. This can shape perceptions of what is considered normal or acceptable behavior for each gender. It can also contribute to inequality and discrimination based on gender, as language can influence societal attitudes towards gender identity and expression. Additionally, the limitations of the gender binary in language may exclude or erase non-binary or gender non-conforming individuals.

In the last 30 years, there has been increased awareness and advocacy for gender equality, leading to more opportunities for women in various fields. Additionally, changes in societal norms and workplace policies have encouraged greater gender diversity in traditionally male-dominated industries. Overall, efforts to address gender disparities and promote inclusivity have contributed to the reversal of the trend.
