because the pressure of the iceberg is greater than the pressure of the boat and so if the boat hits it, the iceberg will hit the boat, make a hole, and all of the pressure holding the boat up will be released and the ship will sink.
icebergs are dangerous to passing ships as icebergs are hard to spot because usually about 90% of the iceberg is under water. This could make people think that it is only a small iceberg when really it could be very big. Also the iceberg's edges are very sharp due to the very low temperatures and can cut though the ship's hull easily.
I think the Strait of Magellan
I think that the sea owns the icebergs because no one can call dibs on the icebergs because they move around so much that they are in no mans land for much of their lives.
I think what you mean is a light house. light house means is tower with a light that gives warning of shoals to passing ships
Australia is the only continent that does not have icebergs.
penguins need icebergs because the cold is there habitat so, they cant survive in a other biome i think exept the taiga.
It was dangerous because they didn't have that much to make a strong and good ships to travel in the sea. Also because they didn't have that much resources during Christopher Columbus times.
i think the passing grade is 85*
I don't think you and I have much choice in the matter. They melt on their own as the move to warmer waters.
i think it has 5 navy ships.
I don't think it is dangerous
yes many years ago when people used to travel on ships white whales mostly braked the ships or swam away after trying to. some scientists suppose whales think that that is a fish while others say that whales do not want anything to swim in the sea that is bigger that them. now-days white whales are not that dangerous because most of the ships and boats are made out of metal and white whales cannot bite it or even damage it.
