why do you think people didn't believe copernicus and galileo when they said the earth wasn't in the center of the solar system
It was inconceivable to them that something as large as a continent might move.
Wegener had no answer to why the plates were moving and how they were moving but they believed Harry Hess when he discovered seafloor spreading
the scientist were jealous of him
because they believed god made the world as it is, and it was perfect.
He looked up on his Pangaea map, and figured out about the continental drift at the part of Africa, Antarctica, and Europe.

Yes he did. When Wegener was trying to convince people that millions of years ago there was only one super continent (Pangaea) he used facts like glossopteris fossils being spread across different continents to support his evidence.
they did not believe him and thought he was crazy. they said that there was no way the continents were once connected that would have meant continents could move
because they believed god made the world as it is, and it was perfect.
People thought he was crazy and not very smart but he proved them. He found a way.
No they didn't
because they had no way of explaing how the continents could move

Most people actually state that Darwin beat Wegener to the theory of continental drift as he mentioned in most of his studies about the continents drifting apart and fitting together.
