Real Christmas trees are much better for the environment. They are grown on farms so there is no need to worry about saving the trees. Fake trees are made of plastic that is does not decompose. Fake trees are better for the environment. Being able to reuse it for up to 20 years, not having to water them during growth or while cut and the fact that most of them end up on a burn pile far outweighs the manufacture and disposal once in 20 years. I prefer a real tree because you have fun getting it and you feel more excited from like the ever green smell or the prickliness in some cases Fake, its less work , real is a fire hazard. I would say a fake tree causes more damage as it has to be manufactured. Well, fake trees can be reused every year, but real trees are thrown out after every year. I hate to admit this, because we get a real tree every year, and i just think getting a real tree is way better than getting a fake one, for Christmas time
