The parking pawl inside the tranny is messed up.
Do you have a check engine code? Have you had it tuned? Sounds like the idle is off, but need more information.
your transmission could be slipping too if you have it over or under filled That tells me that your engine speed is not constant, look for a vacuum leak, egr, or pcv issue. Get to a steady engine rpm before attempting to set timing. A loose distributor could also cause this.
Under it's own engine power.
All you need to do is put a wrench on the belt tensioner and move it in the direction that relieves the tension. This will make it possible to remove and install the old and new belt.
the engine does run chances are that the speedometer cable is broken or the gear in the transmission is striped
Most of them move some but if your belt is squeeling you probably need to replace the tensioner.
In a Wankel engine, all parts rotate in one direction, while in a reciprocating engine, pistons move back and forth
The only way I know of is to remove a valve cover. If the valves do not move when the engine is turned over, the timing chain is broken. As a best guess, if the engine cranks like crazy, and seems to crank faster or with less resistance than normal, it's a good chance. There's no telling when a chain will break, depends mostly on driving habits. My '95 made it to 199,000 before it went, whereas others will go at 60,000.

check your engine mounts..I am not sure where they are but if you can move the engine with a prybar you need new mounts..they arent to expensive
Hi... I would guess you have a fan clutch problem. Try to move it by hand when the engine is cold. It should be easy to move.
